Having filmed the UK, Ireland & North America “Oasis Eves”, Celestial’s drone displays on the nights before Oasis’s concerts in each stadium, we were particularly thrilled to be asked to film two of Oasis’s live shows, in Los Angeles & London. We flew DJI Mavic 4 Pros, capturing the crowds in each stadium & making full use of the Mavics’ 70mm & 168mm lenses, as well as their standard 28mm lenses.

While we were filming the LA show it was suggested to Ben Godlington & me that we might consider trying for a UK permission for flights over crowds – at the time we thought it highly unlikely that the UK Civil Aviation Authority would consider such a possibility, but on our return to the UK they amazed us by saying a provisional & highly qualified yes, & thus started a 6 month process leading to our gaining the permission in late March 2026.

Already having an extended permission in the UK to fly to 1,000 feet height in certain circumstances & under strict conditions, meant that we were able to ‘peer’ over the top of Wembley Stadium &, with the Mavic’s longer lenses, create footage of Oasis on stage which otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.
